BIAXIAL LINEN FABRIC ±45° – 350 g/m² – AMPLITEX™
Composite reinforcement made of natural flax fibers ampliTex™, biaxial architecture ±45°, intended for applications requiring high vibration damping and a high-performance alternative to glass fibers.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Technical linen fabric made of fibers oriented at ±45° and held together by stitching.
Developed for high-performance composites, this reinforcement offers an excellent compromise between stiffness, damping and reduced environmental impact.

APPLICATIONS
- Snowboards / skis (shock-absorbing layers ±45°)
- Sandwich structures
- Technical composite parts
- Sports, boating, mobility
TERMS OF SALE
- Width: 310 mm
- Sold by the linear meter
- Approximately 4 meters are needed for a pair of skis
OBSERVATIONS
- Dry product (not pre-impregnated)
- High resin absorption capacity
- The final performance depends on the process and the resin used.
TECHNICAL ADVICE – BEHAVIOR & HYBRIDIZATION
Flax is primarily used to improve the dynamic behavior of composites.
Unlike carbon, it provides:
- more cushioning
- more gradual
- improved comfort when bending
Recommended association
- UD carbon → stiffness / rebound
- Carbon ±45° → torsion
- Linen ±45° → cushioning / comfort
→ Allows for structures that are both high-performing and pleasant to use (especially in snowboarding and skiing).
