The bad news is… if you leave the repair until the next day, or even the next week, the core will absorb water, swell, and the sandwich construction will burst. And goodbye to the skis/snowboard you were hoping to keep for five seasons.
With this kit, there's no need to spend the evening in the crowded gas station shop! Do it yourself! You'll be surprised, even if you've never done it before, by how simple and effective it is. No special tools are needed: scissors or a utility knife to cut the piece to be replaced. A piece of cardboard or plastic to mix the resin with a little hardener. A clean, smooth filling/scraping with a straight edge, and you're done. Now just wait for it to dry, which will take between 20 minutes and two hours depending on the resin thickness and the temperature of your room. Be careful of the smell; it's not pleasant. Avoid touching the resin. And for those clumsy types who make a mess, use alcohol (perfume, vodka, etc.) to clean it up. Don't wait for it to dry completely; once it's dry, it's as hard as concrete, and nothing can remove it.
