Kit contents
- Tubular tarpaulin : 0.6 m × 2 m
- Sealing compound (15 m) ensures a watertight seal between the tarpaulin and the mold
- Drainage felt : 2 m × 0.76 m – facilitates air circulation
- Micro-perforated film : limits resin seepage
- Peel fabric : 2 m × 0.8 m – facilitates finishing after pressing
- Hose (2 m – Ø 12 mm) : connection to the pump
- Plug Ø 12 mm : watertight connection to the tarpaulin
Usage steps
- Preparing the mold
Prepare your mold clean and ready to receive the materials (core, fibers, base, etc.).
- Laying the layers
Position your layering (resin + fibers + core) in the mold.
- Adding the peel ply fabric
Place it on top of your lamination to facilitate finishing after demolding.
- Application of the micro-perforated film
Add it on top of the peel ply to prevent the resin from seeping up into the upper layers.
- Installation of drainage felt
Position it over the entire unit to allow for even air circulation.
- Installation of the tubular tarpaulin
Slide the assembly into the tubular tarpaulin, then seal the ends using the sealant.
- Connection to the vacuum system
Install the plug on the tarpaulin, then connect the hose to your vacuum pump.
- Vacuum sealing
Start the pump and check for leaks. The tarpaulin should fit evenly around the mold.
- Pressing time
Maintain the vacuum throughout the entire polymerization time of the resin.
- Demolding and finishing
Remove the technical layers. Peel off the peel ply, lightly sand, then apply your finish (varnish, top sheet, etc.).
