SUBMITTING YOUR FILE – SUBLIMATION PRINTING GUIDE

SUBMITTING YOUR FILE – SUBLIMATION PRINTING GUIDE

Prepare your artwork correctly for optimal printing on the topsheet

This guide will help you prepare your print file to ensure a high-quality result on your skis, snowboards, or monoskis.

 FILE FORMAT

Accepted formats:

  • PDF (recommended)
  • PNG
  • TIFF
  • AI / PSD (with flattened layers)

Avoid compressed or low-quality files (low-resolution JPEG).

 DIMENSIONS

Respect the maximum dimensions of the support:

  • ICP 8210 (345 mm)
    → max format: 1800 × 345 mm
  • Ultra Light PE (500 mm)
    → max format: 1800 × 345 mm

Allow 5 to 10 mm margin (bleed) on the edges.

 RESOLUTION

  • Recommended resolution: 300 dpi
  • Minimum: 150 dpi (at actual size)

Insufficient resolution results in a loss of sharpness in printing.

 ORIENTATION – CRITICAL POINT

The file must be provided as a mirror (reversed) image.

The printing is done on the inside of the topsheet:
→ The image is reversed before being integrated into the ski.

If you have any doubts, we can check or correct them for you.

 COLORS

  • Colorimetric mode: RGB or CMYK
  • Expect a slight variation in appearance after sublimation.

Available option:
adding a white background to improve contrast and color accuracy.

 DESIGN TIPS

  • Avoid excessively fine details (< 0.3 mm)
  • Opt for strong contrasts.
  • Anticipate the deformation related to the shape of the ski/snowboard
  • Check the alignment (nose / tail / center)

SENDING THE FILE

  • By email or via download link (WeTransfer, Drive…)
  • Name the file clearly (e.g., project_name_version1.pdf)

Indicate :

  • support type (345 mm or 500 mm)
  • desired final dimensions
  • white background option (yes / no)

 VERIFICATION

Before printing:

  • file control
  • visual validation
  • adjustments if necessary

No production launch without validation.

 FINAL RESULT

Thanks to sublimation:

  • the image is integrated into the material
  • no extra thickness
  • Total protection against scratches and abrasion
  • durable high-definition rendering

 COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

  • bad resolution
  • incorrect dimensions
  • absence of a lost fund
  • colors too dark without a white background
