AKONITE, DESIGNER SLEDS AND LUXURY SKIS
The meeting of Alexandre Fougea, an engineer from Arts et Métiers, passionate about design and sliding objects (which he has been producing for almost 15 years), and Xavier Fichepoil, a former marketing director in mass distribution, gave birth to an amazing brand. Akonite offers a tight collection of beautiful objects, including a sled awarded in a design competition (the Gentiane, two copies, €4,600), a more popular but still very stylish sled (the Avon, €480) and above all a pair of skis as refined as they are exclusive, the Digitalis (€3,400). Everything is made in France, by passionate craftsmen selected with as much care as the materials: the sleds at a Vendée furniture manufacturer, the skis in the Clone workshop in Ardèche. www.akonite.com
